Unlock the full power of identity so that people, economy, and society thrive.

Secure Identity Alliance is a global non-profit coalition bringing together public and private industry, governments and academic institutions to shape secure, interoperable, and accountable, user-centric identity ecosystems — spanning physical documents, digital identity systems and credentials, and autonomous AI agents.

Building a global acceptance market

SIA’s work continues with the SIDI Hub — co-created with 17 open standards organisations and governments worldwide — to enable acceptance of government-issued credentials across borders, sectors, and ecosystems.

Identity is foundational to economies, borders, finance, and digital services.

The Secure Identity Alliance (SIA) operates at the intersection of policy, technology, and standards, fostering deep public–private collaboration across the globe. We convene stakeholders who often work in silos—or even compete—and help align their efforts to support the development of trusted, inclusive, and interoperable identity ecosystems, both physical and digital.

Identity in the Age of AI and Automation

As AI systems, devices, and digital agents interact autonomously, identity must extend beyond individuals to organisations, devices, and intelligent systems. Trusted digital infrastructure depends on verifiable, auditable identity frameworks — and SIA contributes to these global conversations.

Digital sovereignty is strengthened — not weakened — by interoperability.

Nations and ecosystems remain in control of their infrastructure and data while enabling trusted cross-border and sector verification and collaboration.
